It was founded in 1963. Founder of this temple is Phra khru Prakassa Dhammakhun (foundly known as Luang Phor - Venerable Father) was born on 6 April 1923 in Buriram province inThailand. In 1988, Luang Phor also sponsored to built a temple at his home town and name Wat Bodhidhammakhunaram. He passed away on 22 December 1996 in Bangkok at the age of 73.
