Wat Uttamayanmuni Buddhist Temple - Singapore


Wat Uttamayanmuni was founded in 1962. Founder was Chao Khun Khron or Tok Raja from Kelantan Malaysia. He was born in 1 December 1876. He join monk hood at the age of 21 years old. He was the former chief monk of Kelantan and the first known monk in Kelantan to have received the monastic title of Chao Khun and the ceremonial fan of office from King Bhumibol. In 1962, short time after Chao Khun Khron received the land to built the temple, unfortunately he passed away at the of age of 86. The temple was oversee and completed by the late chief abbot Phra Khru Silakhunaporn (1930-2001).
