Wat Bang Yi Khan - Bangkok  


It was built during Ayutthaya period and declared monastery boundary around 1629. In the main wihan, we still can see very old mural painting of the Lord Buddha's stories and angles assembly, painted by "Pae Kong". a great painter in Rattanakosin period.
The principal Buddha statue was carved from sand stone in sitting legs crossed position. There are two associated Buddha statues sitting on the lower base are more than hundred years old.

It has been registered as historic monument by Fine Art Department in 31 May 1983.
